The purpose of the Integrated Health System S.I.S. is to provide care to the members of the University Community, with its priority being the STUDENTS, personnel of PUBLIC SERVANTS including TEACHERS.
Regarding the charge in the medical consultation, it is free, but the other medical services that the patient requires do have a cost.
Military personnel in active service, both managers and students who are in the institution, are charged for their care through the ISSFA System.
After priority attention, care is provided to ISSFA dependents, that is, relatives of military personnel (children and wives of military personnel in active and passive service). The collection of these patients who meet the requirements established by the ISSFA is made and collected through the ISSFA system.
And finally, attention is given to PRIVATE persons, who request any medical service, as long as there is the available personnel and the necessary supplies in each of the areas, this making the respective payment by the private patient
Medical exams
In order to carry out the process of entry of personnel, as well as the exit process, it is necessary to present the medical examinations presented below:
It should be noted that the ophthalmological evaluation should be carried out with an Ophthalmologist , not with an optometrist.
Students of the first semester
Steps to follow to obtain the medical certificate of health status:
1. Take the following exams:
a. VDRL b. COPROPARASITIC c. BLOOD BIOMETRY d. MICROSCOPIC URINE EXAMINATION (EMO)
2. Attend in person to the Integrated Health System at the Sangolqui Campus from March 11 to 20, 2026 from 08:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the respective results of the aforementioned exams.
NOTE: In case of taking the exams and obtaining the medical certificate at a health house of the Ministry of Public Health, you must bring the original and go to validate in the Integrated Health System.
CERTIFICATES ISSUED BY PRIVATE DOCTORS OR PRIVATE HEALTH ESTABLISHMENTS ARE NOT VALID.
