The Master’s Degree in Defense and Security with a major in Cyber Defense trains high-level professionals capable of analyzing, preventing, and responding to threats in cyberspace. The program integrates strategic national defense knowledge with advanced technical competencies in digital security, cryptography, forensics, and cyber incident management. Graduates will be prepared to lead cyber defense operations in military, government, and private sector environments, contributing to the country’s digital sovereignty.

To train leaders in cyber defence with solid strategic and technological knowledge, capable of protecting critical infrastructures and guaranteeing the digital security of the State, through an education of excellence based on applied research and institutional values.

What we seek to achieve

To train professionals in Defense and Security, with specializations in Military Leadership and Logistics Management, capable of generating knowledge and scientific development; managing military organizations; participating in the generation of public policies, in order to effectively and efficiently confront the different threats and risks that may affect the security of the State, within a framework of respect for Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law and other current laws.

The professional we train

Conduct strategic studies in accordance with their functions when commanding units and being part of an advisory team or staff, framed within compliance with the National Security strategy; through the application of the fundamentals of contemporary geopolitics, leadership theories, sociology, political science, articulated with their experience and comprehensive capabilities; demonstrating ethical principles, objectivity, critical analysis, updating of their knowledge and respect for democracy.

What you can do when you graduate

  • Military Leadership: Commands units at the Battalion or Group/Operational Unit level for the planning and execution of external and internal defense military operations; participates as a member of a Brigade or similar General Staff; advises on the generation of public policies, demonstrating proven military ethical principles, effectiveness, and efficiency in compliance with the guidelines and objectives contemplated in the institutional strategic planning.
  • Logistics Management: Plans comprehensive logistical support to units at the Brigade and Major levels, contributing to the achievement of objectives within the framework of military actions and operations, applying the fundamentals, procedures, and logistical methods in accordance with current manuals and doctrine, demonstrating proven military ethical principles, effectiveness, and efficiency in the administration of assigned resources.
