- Mission
To train military professionals with solid theoretical and practical knowledge in military science and culture, capable of commanding, administering, educating, and instructing with social and ethical responsibility, while respecting current doctrine, the legal framework, and human rights. The program contributes to the development of the Ecuadorian Army and the country through the integration of real learning scenarios, promoting creativity, initiative, and decision-making skills in complex situations.

To be recognized as a leading program in the training of Ecuadorian Army officers, noted for its academic excellence and its ability to develop leaders committed to national defense and development. The program seeks to effectively integrate teaching, research, and engagement with society, promoting projects that contribute to social well-being and the strengthening of national sovereignty, with an innovative approach adapted to the challenges of the twenty-first century.
- Program Objectives
- General objective
To train undergraduate professionals in Military Sciences with solid theoretical and practical knowledge in Military Science, Military Culture, Theoretical Foundations, Epistemology, Research Methodology, and Military Instruction and Training. Graduates will develop competencies to investigate and contribute to solving contextual problems, disseminate knowledge that improves the performance of military units and, therefore, the Army, and promote national development in accordance with the National Development Plan.
To integrate training with real learning situations, using progressive content for each individual by combining appropriate learning scenarios. This approach develops creativity, initiative, and decision-making skills in problematic situations not covered during training; that is, the student’s ability to act in unforeseen or dysfunctional situations that may occur in educational environments, daily life, or the occupational field.
To command, administer, educate, and instruct in military units and divisions of the Ground Force, according to rank and position, based on current doctrine, administrative regulations, the legal framework, and respect for human rights, in accordance with the parameters and characteristics established by military leadership for the fulfillment of assigned missions.
To promote the country’s social development through civic action, environmental protection, and community improvement programs, in accordance with the Constitution, State policies, and Military Command, acting with upright conduct that allows graduates to be exemplary citizens who contribute positively to society.
To apply knowledge to command, manage, and educate with social responsibility, promoting national development through ethical principles and values.

Develops the physical condition required to effectively meet the demands of a military career. Their training is based on strict discipline, institutional values, and ethical principles acquired through experiential training that complements academic education during their internal stay, which is characteristic of military life.
Demonstrates civic devotion to the homeland and practices the principles of military philosophy and culture as a way of life. Graduates feel proud to belong to and contribute to the fulfillment of the mission of the Ground Force, considering an equality-based approach with emphasis on gender and interculturality.
Applies leadership, verbal communication, and discipline in learning processes to acquire knowledge that connects them with local and national institutional challenges, using computer tools.

- Performs efficiently in operations for the defense of national territory and state sovereignty, as well as in internal operations and support for comprehensive security.
- Evaluates and manages human talent, material resources, and financial resources through the appropriate use of technical and technological tools, in order to efficiently employ platoons or similar units in response to threats, risks, and their generating factors, whether of external or internal origin or caused by natural disasters, with absolute respect for human rights, nature, the environment, and culture.
- Instructs and trains the personnel under their command with scientific rigor, motivation, effectiveness, and active and participatory techniques, in order to achieve an adequate level of preparation that allows them to fulfill and face assigned missions, with strict compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicates the results of field research in military science and technology through essays and scientific articles that express knowledge in a reflective and critical way, contributing to the solution of community problems.
- Acts individually in combat situations in compliance with the operations order, as a member of larger units pursuing the final objective.
- Integrates and participates as a section and/or platoon commander, in compliance with the operations order, safeguarding personnel, materials, and equipment while exercising leadership and respect for subordinates.
- Commands a platoon and/or similar units in military operations for the defense of sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as in support of the actions and efforts of the State, in compliance with the operations order, protecting personnel, materials, and equipment while exercising leadership and respect for subordinates.
