- Mission
To train responsible, reflective, autonomous, critical, productive, creative, strategic, entrepreneurial, and innovative professionals in Business Administration, with solid theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and human qualities. Graduates will be capable of analyzing, planning, managing, controlling, and evaluating business models and strategies in organizations of all kinds, incorporating scientific, methodological, and ancestral knowledge to generate social and technological innovation processes, increase competitiveness, and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals.

By 2030, the Business Administration program will be a benchmark in planning, doing, checking, and acting through knowledge and technology, allowing it to achieve national and international prestige while remaining committed to the common good of society.

- General objective
To educate individuals who are capable of understanding the reality in which they live, including its structural problems, helping them become aware of their role and of the contribution they can make through their work, as well as the harm they may cause through unethical practices. The program seeks to promote ethical and honest behavior, as well as a commitment to the development of humanity and the preservation of the planet.

Apply theoretical, scientific, and technical knowledge to efficiently and effectively manage and lead a company, identifying organizational problems, proposing alternatives, and implementing solutions that involve quality, innovation, and technology transfer processes.

Articulate theoretical, technical, and practical knowledge with the country’s socio-economic reality in order to respond to social challenges through research projects and the systematization of experiences within productive organizations.

- Professional Profile
The Business Administration professional will develop the following skills, attitudes, and competencies related to personal and professional conduct:
– Identifies the deontological principles that govern professional practice, as well as their effects on society and its development.
– Practices honesty as a standard in professional practice, condemning corruption, illicit enrichment, and abuse of power.
– As a manager, they act with leadership when making decisions, safeguarding collective interests over individual interests.
– Demonstrates a willingness to take calculated risks, undertake their ideas, and pursue their goals.
– Adopts a position regarding national and international economic power structures and realities.
– Respects cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in the formation of organizations, as well as in commercial, labor, and communication relations.

- Graduate Profile
The profile of the Bachelor of Business Administration is based on competencies that cover five areas of knowledge: knowing, learning to be, learning to know, learning to do, and learning to live together. The instruments of learning to be include values, attitudes, and norms, through which information is processed. Knowing involves notions, propositions, concepts, and categories, while learning to do requires procedures and techniques.
Graduates of Business Administration will have multidisciplinary and multicultural training, based on the new scientific and technological trends of the profession. They will be aware of the major challenges and problems of the world, where human beings and their well-being are placed above any other primary need. They will be capable of understanding the nature of organizations from the basis of human behavior, allowing them to have a positive impact on their development and ensuring efficiency in the use of resources.
They will have the ability to create innovative solutions to the needs that arise in companies through leadership, entrepreneurship, and the identification of investment opportunities that contribute to the economic and social development of the country and the region. They will remain committed to supporting the development and growth of Ecuador’s productive matrix. Critically and strategically analyze the organizational environment, applying technological, quality, and business management tools to design, implement, and evaluate innovative, sustainable, and socially responsible processes, projects, and business models that contribute to economic development and the improvement of business competitiveness.
Marketing & Advertising
Analyze the market and consumer behavior to design and implement innovative and ethical marketing strategies, integrating market research, digital marketing, e-business, and e-commerce models in order to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of organizations.
Financial Management
Integrate accounting, financial, and tax knowledge to analyze, plan, and evaluate the economic and financial situation of organizations, applying technological tools, cost models, budgets, and business valuation methods that support ethical, strategic, and sustainable decision-making in public and private contexts.
Economics
