Profile Professional

The professional we train

The future professional expert in cybersecurity contributes to the consolidation of a transparent and efficient State, and an active society that guarantees the right to live in a democratic society, free of corruption, where secure and reliable information is essential. They carry out professional work to strengthen a system of values that promotes honest administration, with strict adherence to the law, and openly combats impunity under continuous citizen oversight, in order to reduce levels of social violence; possess the capacity for prevention, foresight, and response to oppose organized crime; apply public policies for the prevention and control of international crime; and effectively combat illicit drug trafficking, commercialization, and consumption, areas in which information and communication systems are highly critical. They perform specialized research, development, and innovation (R+D+i) work with the objective of developing new tangible solutions that allow for an increased level of cybersecurity in industry, business, government, the Armed Forces, and society in general. They collaborate in the consolidation and structuring of information systems based on administrative records and statistical information, which helps make timely decisions, makes public management transparent, improves the implementation of programs, projects, and public policy, as well as facilitates their monitoring and evaluation, through political consensus and agreements, using synergistic processes that promote equity and equality, peace, endogenous development, and territorial cohesion through mobility, logistics, and connectivity infrastructures. They protect critical infrastructures in strategic sectors that manage important information systems for the State and must be protected, such as the Coca Codo Sinclair, Sopladora, Manduriacu, and Villonaco power plants, among others, while also strengthening spaces for citizen participation and deliberation and mechanisms to fight corruption.
