In the #ESPEU we received the official visit of Colonel E. P. Manuel Augusto Inocente Espinoza, Defense and Military Attaché to the Embassy of Peru in the Republic of Ecuador, a meeting that reaffirms the ties of cooperation and military diplomacy between both nations.

The delegation was received by Crnl. Mauricio González, rector of the University of the Armed Forces – ESPE, with whom they held a meeting aimed at strengthening academic, strategic and institutional exchange initiatives.

In a solemn act, Crnl. Mauricio González, rector of the University of the Armed Forces – ESPE, paid tribute to those who have left an indelible mark on our classrooms: our retired teachers, trainers of generations, whose commitment, vocation and excellence transcend time and become inspiration.

This significant event was attended by Brigadier General Frank Landázuri Recalde, Inspector General of the Land Force, as well as the distinguished Catalina Dávila Pazmiño, daughter of Eng. Jorge Ignacio Dávila Rojas, whose presence gave an even deeper and more human meaning to this tribute.

Likewise, the naming of the Room of the Honorable University Council as “Engineer Jorge Ignacio Dávila Rojas” was carried out, a fair recognition of a life marked by ethics, service and academic excellence, whose legacy will last in every space of our university.

Today, more than acknowledging, we are grateful.

ESPEU participated in the university fair, held at the Manuela Cañizares School, a space that brought together more than 800 students interested in learning about higher education opportunities.

During the day, the ESPE team presented its academic offerings, training programs, research opportunities, mobility and professional development, providing direct information to those who are preparing to make one of the most important decisions of their future.

With these initiatives, we bring higher education closer to young people, motivating them to build their life project through knowledge, innovation and commitment to the country.

#ESPEU had the honor of receiving a delegation of cadets from the West Point Military Academy, who, together with officers from the “Eloy Alfaro” Military High School, participated in a day of academic and cultural exchange.

During their stay, the cadets toured various academic and research spaces, including the Biotechnology laboratories, the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CENCINAT), the Center for Military Research and Applications (CIAM) and the Andean Higher Agricultural Institute IASA I, where they learned about the scientific and technological advances promoted by the University, as well as strategic projects aimed at innovation. also interacting with teachers and researchers.

This meeting facilitated the exchange of knowledge and experiences, consolidating collaboration between military academies and reaffirming the institutional commitment to excellence, innovation and international projection.

A team of teachers and researchers from the Military Applications Research Center and the Department of Energy and Mechanical Sciences participates in a scientific mission to Antarctica with the project: “UV radiation monitoring in Antarctica: Nanofiber sensors manufactured in situ”, a research aimed at the development and validation of sensors capable of measuring ultraviolet radiation in extreme conditions. which contributes to the generation of high-impact scientific and technological knowledge.
From one of the most challenging places on the planet 🌍, the University of the Armed Forces ESPE reaffirms its commitment to research, innovation and international 🚀projection, in collaboration with academic institutions such as the University of San Francisco de Quito, the University of Louisville and the Alfonso X el Sabio University.

The University of the Armed Forces – ESPE, received the visit of Claudia Ludowieg Aramburú, Administrator for Latin America of the “The American Society of Mechanical Engineers ASME Latam, who fulfilled an academic agenda in the Department of Energy and Mechanical Sciences.

During her visit, she was received by Dr. Lenin Abatta, professor of the department, with whom she shared spaces for dialogue on academic cooperation, international projection and strengthening of engineering training.

This meeting reaffirms the #ESPEU’s commitment to internationalization, academic excellence and the development of opportunities for its students and teachers.

The TaeKwonDo Club ESPE of #ESPEU organized the Degree Promotion Ceremony of its members 2026, a space that promotes the training and growth of new practitioners at the novice, intermediate and advanced levels.

During the day, the members of the club demonstrated the discipline, effort and dedication developed in their training, being evaluated in theoretical and practical aspects to advance in their belt level.

This activity strengthens sports training and motivates the projection of students in future tournaments

Under the project “Technical support for the development of rural sectors of Ecuador through the participation of the Armed Forces and the Academy”, Crnl. César Tamayo, Ph.D (General Academic Vice-Rector) and Dr. Danny Zambrano (Project Director) held a working meeting with Mgtr. Fabián Marcelo Aldaz Vizcaíno (Mayor of Penipe canton).

The agreements of the meeting will allow the strengthening of the operational lines of the link with society, where the #ESPEU will be a strategic ally of the decentralized autonomous governments, promoting key initiatives in educational, tourism and technical issues, for the benefit of Penipeña society.

For International Women’s Day, the Network of Women in Science – Nodo ESPE visited the Rafael Armijos Valdivieso School to inspire girls and boys to discover the world of science.

Through experiences and reflections, prominent professionals shared messages on scientific curiosity, health communication and the importance of promoting a culture of non-violence 💜

🙌 In addition, ESPE Telecommunications students supported this activity as part of their community service, strengthening the link between the university and the community.

ESPEU participated in the College Go university fair, held at the Eloy Alfaro Military College (COMIL), a space that brought together hundreds of students interested in learning about higher education opportunities.

During the day, the ESPE team presented its wide academic offer, training programs, research opportunities, mobility and professional development, providing direct information to future high school graduates who are preparing to choose their university path.

With these initiatives, we continue to bring higher education closer to young people, inspiring them to build their life project through knowledge, innovation and service to the country.
