The Change of Command Ceremony of the University of the Armed Forces ESPE Latacunga Headquarters was held, an act that was presided over by Colonel Víctor Hugo Villavicencio, Director of ESFORSE.

🫡In this context, Crnl. Mauricio González, Rector of the University, handed over the command to the TCRN. Alexis Armas, who assumes functions as the new Director of the Latacunga Campus, starting a new stage of academic and administrative management. During his speech, the Rector stressed that each step taken at the University represents an advance towards the future of the country, highlighting the role of ESPE as a space for comprehensive training, where young people find inspiration, discipline and values to transform their lives and contribute to national development.

🤝 This act strengthens the processes of institutional continuity, discipline and academic projection of the #ESPEU, for the benefit of the university community and regional development.

At the IASA in #ESPEU, the Biochemistry Open House was held, a space where our students of the Agricultural career demonstrated that science is also transformed into real solutions for the field.

🧐 During the event, the students presented their R+D+i projects, focused on the extraction of bioactive compounds through biochemical techniques, their transformation into innovative products and the verification of their functionality through laboratory tests, with direct applications in the agricultural sector.

These projects reflect the commitment to research, development and innovation, integrating scientific knowledge with the productive, sustainable and technological needs of agriculture.

The event called “Forum: Role of Women in Science: Inspiring Trajectories of Women Scientists” was held, organized by the Ecuadorian Network of Women Scientists – Nodo ESPE, within the framework of the International Day of Girls and Women in Science.

The purpose of this academic space was to promote a university culture based on gender equity, non-violence and inclusion, through the development of spaces for reflection, academic dialogue and to make visible the contribution of women in the scientific field.👩‍🔬

The Medicine program of the University of the Armed Forces – ESPE developed an integrative project with third-semester students, focused on the analysis of knowledge of alternative medicines and ancestral knowledge within the Ecuadorian legal framework.

This initiative strengthened the scientific, ethical and intercultural training of future doctors, articulating academic analysis with current regulations and social relevance in health.🩺📚

A significant space that consolidates professional competencies with a legal, scientific and intercultural approach, aligned with the constitutional and health framework of the country.

The Department of Exact Sciences of the University of the Armed Forces – ESPE, in joint work with the Social Security Institute of the Armed Forces @Issfa Ecuador, held the “Open House of the University of the Elderly”, an event that aimed to make visible the academic, cultural and networking activities that are carried out for the benefit of the elderly.

The University of the Elderly – ESPE project strengthens institutional accreditation processes by evidencing an effective link with society, oriented to priority attention groups and aligned with national and international development objectives.

The active participation of students, teachers and authorities strengthens the spaces for integration, learning and recognition of the active role of the elderly within the community.

The meeting with the military personnel of the University of the Armed Forces – ESPE, led by the Rector, Crnl. Mauricio González, allowed to socialize the institutional guidelines and address the concerns raised by the attendees. During the meeting, the importance of military students maintaining the focus on their academic training and responsibly complying with the scholarships granted by the Armed Forces was highlighted, reaffirming the commitment to be good students and good soldiers.

The Rector shared his experience as a former student, motivating the attendees to persevere in their training. The day took place in an atmosphere of dialogue and commitment, strengthening the relationship between authorities and the university community.

Army General Henry Delgado Salvador, Chief of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, paid a visit to the Rector of the University of the Armed Forces – ESPE, Crnl. Mauricio González, with the purpose of consolidating coordinated work, establishing strategic guidelines and providing support to university management.
