Within this vision, we understand mental health as the mainstay in the development of a University for all. Under these principles, the University Welfare Unit of the ESPE (UBUN), has professionals in the area of <a href=\"https:\/\/ube.espe.edu.ec\/psicologia-clinica\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Clinical Psychology<\/a>, General Psychology and <a href=\"https:\/\/ube.espe.edu.ec\/psicologia-educativa\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Educational Psychology<\/a>, to serve the university community with processes of Promotion, Prevention and Care of the mental health of students, teachers, administrators and workers, in everything that may involve their mental health.    <\/p><p>The different specialties in the area of psychology at UBUN allow us to carry out approaches focused on effectiveness, as long as this is reflected in the functional productivity of our community. We treat cases, <a href=\"https:\/\/ube.espe.edu.ec\/psicologia-clinica\/\" rel=\"noopener\">within the clinic, of depression, anxiety, personality disorders, attention deficit disorder (ADHD),<\/a> among others. From two theoretical-scientific visions such as psychodynamics and cognitive behavioral vision, our professionals have an impact on emotional, cognitive and behavioral areas of users in the University Under the ethics and deontology of psychology, each case treated enjoys professional confidentiality, therefore, our users of the service can rest assured that all information remains in this principle. On the other hand, we respect the right of each user to initiate or suspend the process as they see fit with their pace of action, therefore there is no obligation of attention for anyone. students, from their beginnings to the completion of their studies. Various studies show that two factors, among others, are preponderant for higher education students to successfully complete their university life: (1) Perseverance and, (2) Career choice. <\/p><p class=\"p1\">About perseverance, we can say that it refers to the internal volitional processes to conclude with personal purposes. However, it can be considered that it is an internal factor inherent in the formation of personality. That is, those who present a high perseverance, do so from their social construction developed in all the years of their life and not because of a matter of emotional decision of the moment.  <\/p><p class=\"p1\">Regarding the choice of career, on the other hand, it is seen as a process where genetic, social, family, psychological and emotional factors intervene; The preferences are limited to the five aspects mentioned. Those students who come to the University Welfare Unit to require an Orientation process are approached from a systemic vision through the different psychometric instruments to achieve functional counseling for our students. <\/p><p class=\"p1\">At UBUN, we attend to cases of Vocational Guidance, when a student requires it to ratify their choice of career, or when they wish to change careers and must submit a reasoned vocational guidance report to the new choice as a requirement of the process.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">For cases in which a student requires a vocational process, it must be taken into account that it is a FREE process and they only have to approach the University Welfare Unit and schedule their appointment with one of our psychologists.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">For more information, contact Ext. 1536.
